Paul Madonna‘s amazing original artwork has been hung on the walls of the dining room (yes, that is a pink elephant). Meanwhile, the women’s bathroom has been hung with two studs. The black-and-white cement tile—this time, a custom-ordered replica of a pattern we fell in love with in Mexico a couple years back—has been laid. Carlo Nuovo, our Italian landlord who lives above us, has given us his nod of approval and asked if he can keep up his $1 poker nights in our basement (which we’re all for). And chef Tony Gemignani, an 11-time World Pizza Champion and our new neighbor, and his lovely wife Julie sent us flowers.
We are so happy to be here. Please come in and have a tequila. 1548 Stockton St. (near Union St.)
